When misinformation is shouted from the highest forms of government, you tend to believe it. I embodied and swallowed the lie that African American women, welfare moms, were bankrupting the finances of our country. And the numbers weren't there. It was just a talking point that was repeated over and over and over again, and my self worth suffered from it. I'm not a lawyer, but I support lawyers, people who dedicate their lives to holding people accountable and keeping the truth alive, of all the accomplishments that African Americans have brought to this country. And that's why I support the Legal Defense Fund.
